Janusseal interoperation with BlackBerry devices

BlackBerry device

Recent edition BlackBerry® devices have the ability to apply security classification labels (protective markings) to the subject lines of messages sent from the devices. These security classification labels are compatible with those used by Janusseal for Outlook, Janusseal for OWA and Janusseal for Pocket Outlook. Janusnet has produced two technical guides to assist BlackBerry® Enterprise Server (BES) administrators with:

  1. configuring BES so that the necessary security classifications can be selected at the device by the end-user
  2. configuring BES so that messages above a certain security classification are not sent to the device

These guides are of benefit to any organization using an information-centric security model along with the Janusseal products from Janusnet and BlackBerry devices from Research In Motion®. They are particularly relevant to Australian Government agencies when complying with the AGIMO Better Practice Guidance - Use of BlackBerry Devices.

To download the guides you must have an account on the Janusnet website and be a Janusnet customer.

The first guide is available as a free download from here. The second guide is available as a free download from here.
